To my dearest Mum,

To my dearest Mum,

It’s been so long since I last thanked you officially for the things you have done for me.

Throughout my 18 years of life, thank you for sticking with me throughout no matter what went wrong.

I’ve been a bad son. I never knew the importance of a family before I went overseas for 6 months. If you have noticed, I have changed ever since I came back. Although sometimes I may still look irritated by you, please do give me some more time to change. I know you just meant well when you nag ( haha! ).

Being the most rebellious son in the family, I’ve given you lots of problems I guess. Thank you for being understanding whenever I return home late ( or return home the NEXT day ), reeking of alcohol and yet you ask nothing of it. Sometimes, even helping me cover up from Dad.

I am really grateful for the things you have done for me. Which includes the cheeky grins you have on your face whenever I told you I’m going out and you ask, “男的女的?”

I realised I have not done anything great for you, but rest assure, I’ll try to be a better son from now on.

Happy birthday Mum! I’ll always love you!

Yours Sincerely,
Robin Lim
